Internationally-acclaimed Mexican actors Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna team up for the first time since their hit Y Tu Mama Tambien (And Your Mother, Too) in a black comedy about two brothers who are working on a banana plantation and have their lives turned suddenly upside down when they get spotted by a soccer scout and become stars in opposing Mexico City teams. Rudo y Cursi is the directorial debut of Carlos Cuaron - who penned Y Tu Mama Tambien - and is also the first feature from the Mexican production company Cha Cha films which was formed by Mexico's three most currently successful directors - Alejandro Iñarritu (Babel), Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men) and Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy II).

The film premieres nationwide on Dec. 19 in all good cinema chains.
