 Country for all Nations
This festival will bring together representatives of the traditions, art, culture, science, education, sport, music, theater and dance of many different countries of the world. All countries are welcome to celebrate the cultural diversity of the international communities living in Mexico.
The purpose of the “Mexico, One Country, Every Nation” festival will be to celebrate - as part of the Mexican Independence Bicentenary festivities - the cultural diversity of the international communities residing in Mexico and those that make Mexico a tourist, cultural or commercial destination. All will be invited to celebrate and showcase their identity with Mexico as the host country.
Parque Metropolitano (Environmental Reserve) from September 22 to 26, 2010, city of León, Guanajuato. First edition, 7,000 sq. mts, number of national expositors: 720, number of international expositors: 190. Simultaneous events: concerts, theatre, dance.
The festival will showcase many of the characteristics of each participating country - its food, music, art, culture, cinema, tourism, traditions, language, history, education, technology, science, business and opportunities for the benefit of those attending, who will be able to participate free of charge in a safe and family atmosphere.
This unique festival will use a series of fun and spectacular activities to highlight educational and ecological ideas in an international context and at the same time, establish a platform to raise awareness of respect and tolerance towards people of different physical abilities, sexual preferences, beliefs, color or nationality, as well as the environment and ecological issues.
“Mexico, One Country, Every Nation” will make a contribution on promoting peace, union and respect for traditions and the cultural, ethnic, religious, sexual, artistic and musical diversity of nations from all over the world.
