Canadian Chamber of Commerce MexicoThe Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico (CCCM or CanCham) is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 by a prominent group of Canadian and Mexican companies. The mission of the CCCM is to promote and strengthen the commercial, financial and investment relationships between Canada and Mexico. The primary aim of the CCCM is to serve as a home for Canadian businesspersons in Mexico. The experience and contacts of the founding members are at the disposal of new and current members in what is designed to be a win-win situation for all.

The CCCM is a member-driven organization. Its members are drawn from a variety of sectors including energy, financial services, printing, automotive. The CCCM is governed by a Board of Directors, which is made up of top-level executives from leading Canadian and Mexican companies. The Board is presided over by a high-level Canadian corporate executive who is elected president of the CCCM every two years.

The CCCM board meets monthly to decide the organization's priorities and set goals and parameters for the Chamber's successful management. These board meetings also provide a forum where leaders of Mexico's Canadian business community can analyse, debate and exchange experiences.

Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the CCCM's affairs lies with its general manager, who is assisted by a trilingual office of capable staff.

On a monthly basis, the CCCM hosts breakfast conferences featuring high-level Canadian and Mexican guests from both the private and public sectors. The Chamber's magazine is published on a trimester basis and includes articles that are of relevance to observers of Canada-Mexico trade. In addition, the CCCM organizes seminars and workshops for Mexican companies on doing business in Canada.

Finally, members of the chamber serve on four different committees that meet monthly to make recommendations, define Chamber policies and issue periodic newsletters, as is the case with the CCCM Infrastructure Committee.
