Only a two-hour drive from San Diego, Ensenada has become a favorite destination for Southern Californians. If possible, we recommend that all major medical care be transferred to one of San Diego's many fine hospitals, as there are no facilities with sufficient services to manage advanced emergency care. There are, however, two private medical facilities that we can recommend in various capacities. Persons with a history of or at risk of developing major heart or lung problems or intestinal bleeding should be thoroughly examined by their home-based physician prior to departure to Ensenada.
