Huatulco, also known as Bahia de Huatulco, in the state of Oaxaca is home to some of Mexico’s newest beach resorts. It’s not the place to stay if you’re on a tight budget, but it is a beautiful still relatively uncrowded resort with miles of unspoiled shoreline.
The area is composed of three distinct parts: Santa Cruz Huatulco is the resort area, Crucecita is the residential, restaurant, and shopping area and Tangolunda Bay is the main beach area until other bays are developed.
Huatulco is located 680 km (425 MI) southeast of Acapulco, 277 km (172 MI) south of Oaxaca City, and 111 km (69 MI) east of Puerto Escondido. |
