Capitalizing on its affiliation and close ties with Baylor University Medical School in Houston is Hospital Santa Engracia. This hospital boasts a staff of over 400 board-certified physicians. It is fully functional and ultra modern. It has 50 large, well-kept patient rooms, with a new floor and 24 new patient rooms planned for the very near future. The emergency room is well equipped and has a separate resuscitation room and an orthopedic exam and treatment area. It has a full service ob/gyn and pediatrics section of the hospital, as well as a pediatric intensive-care area. The only capability it lacks is cardiovascular surgery.
