Business Opportunities in Mexico - Campeche

Campeche is a state that has enhanced its economy during the past 10 years. Campeche has become a proven investment destination. During the past years it has received more than a billion dollars in investments, mostly in the tourist industry. Here are some examples of the incentives that Campeche offers to investors.

 

Image State and Municipal (county) investment incentives in Campeche:

 

Requirements to apply for the first state incentive: The investment most be of over $512,569.50 pesos (approx. 45,000 US dollars) and it has to generate at least 10 direct jobs. Incentive: temporal exemption of the “Impuesto del 2% sobre Nominas” for up to 2 years. This tax is paid based on your employees salaries.

 

Requirements to apply for the second state incentive: it requires that all the acts, contracts and agreements to be registered before the authorities have to have a direct relation with the new investment project. Incentive: Preferential fee for registration acts before the States Real State Register (Registro Público de la Propiedad y el Comercio) 50% off for new companies; 30% for expansions.

 

Municipal (county) incentives: only applicable in the municipios of Calkini, Campeche, Candelaria, Carmen, Champotón, Escarcega, Hecelchakan, Hopelchen, Palizada and Tenabo.

 

Incentives:

 

Preferential fee for the “Impuesto Predial” investors will only pay 0.1% of its properties value.

Preferential fee on the “Impuesto sobre Adquisición de Inmuebles” where the investor will only have to pay the equivalent of the 0.1%.

Right excemptions for Operation, Use and Construction licenses.
