At the 2009 AMAR International Conference we had the opportunity to learn how important the Senior Living and Care Industry is for the development of the Mexican economy.

Let us tell you a little about AMAR:

This is the First National Association that is nonprofit, committed exclusively to those who want to create
communities of Active Senior citizens and retirees in Mexico, and those who wish to offer services of quality of life for their residents, mainly serving as leaders in the introduction of the residential Senior Living and Care industry in Mexico.

During the 1st AMAR International Conference, we were surrounded with several personalities, known in the industry of Senior Living and Care, with a series of Panels of discussion and Conferences, witch were very important and necessary for the development of industry in Mexico.

Among them were:

David Collins:
He is the founder and member of the Board of American Retirement Villas (ARV), Mr. Collins presented the conference "Active adult communities and independent living."

Jim Moore:
Has over 40 years experience in the industry on the last 35 years he founded Moore Diversfield Seniors, Inc. Mr. Moore's company is heavily involved in Market research studies, financial details, strategic planning and operational analysis.

During the 2009 AMAR International Conference we also had people like Margaret Wylde, Frank Rees Jr., Arthur Danielian, among other personalities of this nascent industry in Mexico and already has extensive experience in the U.S.

On Friday 11th  September, we participated at a Lunch Conference, this was done by whom we may call the inspiration of AMAR for our work the end-user, 4 retired citizens who reside in Mexico, they reside in different parts of the Mexican Republic and they talked about the experience that has been living in Mexico, how do they relate to local people and the needs that they have witch made some of their countrymen return to their country of origin or seek alternatives to cover services they require, David Truly (Ajijic, Jal.) Joann Baldwinn (San Jose del Cabo, BCS.), Linda Neil (Uruapan, Mich.) and Bruce Rossley (San Miguel Allende, Gto.). It is at that point where AMAR starts to work for our Foreign Friends not to withdraw.
