Since its establishment in 1973, the Centro de Idiomas de Mazatlán's goal has been to provide the best possible language instruction to facilitate fluency in Spanish and to promote cultural exchange. Many participants return several times because (in their words), "the teachers are not only professional, but helpful, enthusiastic and very patient." Constant evaluation and program improvement have contributed toward ranking Centro de Idiomas de Mazatlan, S.C. among the top language schools in Mexico. It has twice been the winner of the International Committee of Quality and Prestige Award, given by the Mexican National Chamber of Commerce. The school is located three blocks west of the downtown cathedral, between the streets called "21 de Marzo" and "Canizales."
