Most hotels will change dollars for pesos for a minimal fee. There are also 3 casa de cambios (money exchange houses) located in Puerto Escondido, two on the Adoquin and one on Zicatela. Probably the easiest way to access pesos at the best rate is by using one of the several ATM machines in town; the local banks do not put a surcharge on this service.
